It's tough on everyone but remember it's only a life sentence, not a death sentence and the human spirit (particulularly in kids) is strong. My son is my hero. As sad and as inconvenienced he feels he faces this disease with energy, optimisim and a smile on his face. Stay strong, take care of yourselves, look this disease in the eye and tell it that it is not going to beat you. My 9 year old has just been diagnose Type 1. It’s tough on everyone but remember it’s only a life sentence, not a death sentence and the human spirit (particulularly in kids) is strong.
